Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival in Antananarivo

From your window, you will see the landing strip encircled by rice fields, valleys and hills. Do not be surprised, you are in Antananarivo or the City of Thousand, the capital of the country of "mora mora", which means everything is easily done. Take your ease, your trip will start well alongside Malagasy people, known for their sense of unmatched hospitality and their warm smiles. You are then dropped off at your hotel to enjoy a peaceful night before departure for the trip.

Day 2

Peyrieras Reserve

75 km from the capital, you will already find a unique biodiversity : a wide variety of butterflies, frogs, bats, crocodiles and chameleons. Your driver-guide will introduce you to ecotourism which means discovery and protection of the environment. Push the doors of Peyreiras reserve, the place dreamed to play the apprentice researchers! You will find dozens of Malagasy endemic animals and a dense forest with few people. To your cameras! You will not always be so close to these animals! We will then head to Andasibe Park when you have finished lunch. On the road, locate the Ravinala or the tree of the traveler, a 2 meters high tree endemic of the Big Island, which is known for the safe drinking water it contains, it will quench your thirst if you miss water. Day 3

Andasibe National Park

Step into the heart of the Andasibe National Park, come relax with fresh, pure air, relax for a moment in the wilderness. Be amazed by the biodiversity in this park. Accompanied by a specialized guide, you will see for the first time the Eucalyptus tree and endless lianas as in the movies. You will be amazed by visiting the Orchid Park and its dozens of species that bloom and brighten up the landscape. Hurry up for lunch, because in the afternoon you will meet lemurs including the largest in the world (Indri indri). These little primates are easily spotted by their vocal songs. Immortalize this long-awaited moment of the trip with photos at will. Before returning to the hotel in the late evening, a short walk is needed to visit the village and mix with the locals. You will like to know the Malagasy taboo, ways and customs.

Day 4 and 5

Your Plan

The trip continues until embarking on a canoe for a ride on the Pangalanes Canal, the longest canal that man has dug with his hands. Along the river, you will see villages and artisanal plantations. Have you ever seen or tasted litchi from Madagascar? Would you like to discover the scent of Malagasy vanilla, one of the most sought after vanilla varieties in the world? Have you been able to differentiate the flavor of coffee or Malagasy cocoa? Be one of the privileged to discover these specialties of the region, all in the same place ... On your own, discover the Palmarium Reserve or Ankanin'ny Nofy by seeing the 100,000 palm trees it houses. Be sure to find a haven of peace in these places, also called "dream nest", the place is full of a great diversity of orchids, carnivorous plants but also lemurs (including the highly threatened Aye-Aye and the mouse lemurs). This detour will make your trip a true discovery of the oriental vegetation. Also enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the lake where swimming and walking are your choice. In the late evening, have a good night's sleep before heading to Tamatave in the morning.

Day 6

Tamatave and its palm oil refinery

Set the sails and weigh the anchor! It is with a motorized canoe that you will reach the port of Tamatave, the largest port of Madagascar. You will find throughout the trip small villages, to typical huts. Nature lovers will be amazed while contemplating the surrounding flora. Once on the ground, get ready to vibrate with the joy of living of the inhabitants with welcoming smiles. Your trip continues with a visit to one of the palm groves of the city. To your cameras, discover palm oil refinery techniques according to Malagasy processes. Make your lunch of this day an awakening for your taste buds! Lets head for a typical Malagasy meal in one of the Tamatavian restaurants

Day 7

Sainte-Marie

It is now time to set sail for the pirate island of the Indian Ocean: Sainte-Marie. After crossing the canal between Madagascar and Pirate Island, play Robinson Crusoe! Located off the east coast of Madagascar, Sainte-Marie or "Nosy Boraha" is an enchanting island with a hot and humid climate. Pirates Island will be for you a paradise lost in the tropics. Come to discover the remains testifying the passage of the pirates on the island. Known to be the favorite island of humpback whales, prefer the mating season between June and September to have the incomparable pleasure of taking photos, a few meters from your boat of course! For those who love diving, these lucky ones will be able to hear live male whale song in the water.

Day 8

Tour of Mats Island

Dream no more, treat yourself to a peaceful and exhilarating stay on the island, a small tropical garden far from the fuss and pollution. It's a piece of heaven where you will be cut off from the world. We have thought of everything for you ... a local guide will be happy to make you visit the island, its villagers, the beauty of its nature, you will not have to worry about anything. Then enjoy a cozy and exotic lunch under the coconut trees while admiring the horizon

Day 9

Well-being day north of Sainte-Marie Island

A busy morning awaits you in the north of the island of pirates. Between the natural pools and waterfalls where you can enjoy swimming, the landscape of greenery and clean air to relax, and also rediscover the tree of the traveler everywhere you would ask your eyes. The most beautiful sensation to discover is the miles of blond sands just waiting for you. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at your leisure before ending the day with a dinner in the theme of island flavors and fresh seafood.

Day 10

Relaxation day in the east of Sainte-Marie Island

Enjoy this day with a private guide driver for a ride east of Sainte-Marie. Privileged, you will be ... by visiting this part of the island that is not frequented by man. You will also find the peninsula Ampanihy where crabs abound. A Note to those interested ... the crab with the funnel is the specialty of the village. Then enjoy an afternoon of rest, sipping a drink at the beach of your hotel.

Day 11

Return to Antananarivo

Do not worry, we will take care of your departure and the transfer until the arrival at Ivato airport. Before heading to your hotel in the city, we will recommend you one of the restaurants near the airport of the capital to taste the succulent dishes and the Malagasy specialties. The looted cassava leaves, also called "ravitoto" (pronounced ravitoutou) is has to be tasted at all costs; savor also chicken broth or "romazàva", a typical Malagasy dish that will amaze your taste buds.

Day 12

Visit to Antananarivo before returning to Paris

Finish your discovery, visit the city of Antananarivo before flying. Between the biggest handicraft market of the Big Island and the ironwork of art, your last day in the land of "mora mora" will be unforgettable. So, lets head to Madagascar for your next trip…

La période conseillée, pour effectuer une visite de Madagascar sont celle hors saison de pluie comprise entre Mai, juin, juillet, Aout, Septembre, Octobre, Mi Novembre. Cependant, si vous êtes un grand aventurier rien ne vous empêche de vous y rendre en saison de pluie, nous sommes prêt a vous accueillir à bras ouverts (Décembre, janvier, février, Mars), mais il faut bien se munir de ses bottes de globe trotteur et de sa veste de pluie.

Pour aller a Madagascar, il vous faut tout simplement vous munir de votre passport encore valide pour au moins 6 mois, le visa se fait a l’arrivé à l’aéroport pour une valeur de 35 euros environ
